What is MyJW for?
MyJW is a personal tool to track your ministry hours, placements, and other activities in a simple and efficient way.
Is my data safe?
Yes, your data is saved locally on your device to ensure maximum privacy.
How can I add service hours?
Go to the "Service" section from the Home screen. You can use the timer or manually input hours and minutes, then tap "Add".
Can I use the app offline?
Yes, thanks to the integrated Service Worker, MyJW works without an internet connection after the initial load.
How do I record placements and magazines?
In the "Service" section, you can note down the number of publications, magazines, and videos shown during your ministry, alongside the elapsed time.
How does the timer work?
The timer allows you to track your ministry time in real time. You can start, pause, and record the total with a single tap.
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export your data in JSON or PDF format from the Profile > Backup section. You can also email yourself the backup or save it to Google Drive.
Is data synchronized across multiple devices?
Yes! By connecting Google Drive from the Profile > Backup section, your data is saved to your personal cloud. You can restore it on any device by signing in with the same Google account. You can also enable automatic backup.
How does the Google Drive backup work?
From the Profile > Backup section, click "Connect Google Drive" and authorize access. Your data will be saved as a JSON file in a "MyJW" folder in your Drive. You can save manually or enable automatic backup. To restore, just click "Restore from Drive" on any device.
How can I delete a recorded entry?
You can delete individual entries in the "Service" section by scrolling through your history and using the delete button.
Is the app available in other languages?
Yes! You can choose between Italian and English from the settings in the Profile section.
How can I report an issue or suggest an improvement?
You can contact us via the Contacts section of the app or open an issue on the official project repository.
Does MyJW collect any analytical usage data?
No, MyJW does not collect any analytics or user behavior statistics. Your privacy is our priority, and all data stays exclusively on your device.
What data do you collect and how is it used?
We collect only anonymous data necessary for the app to function and for future improvements. We do not share personal data.
Do you share my data with third parties?
No, your data remains on your device. We do not share personal information with third parties.
How can I view my service statistics and progress?
Go to the "Profile" section to view your progress, monthly and annual statistics, and your service goals.
How do I set and track monthly and annual goals?
Set your goals in "Settings" > "Goals". You can define them separately for month and year and they will be tracked automatically.
What are the technical requirements for using MyJW?
MyJW requires an initial internet connection for loading, then works offline. Supports iOS 12+ and Android 5+ with at least 100MB of space.
What is the Availability section?
The "Availability" section lets you manage when you are free to go on service. You can add people, specify the days and times you are available (morning and afternoon for each day of the week).
How do I add a person in the Availability section?
From the "Availability" section, tap the "+" button at the bottom right. A panel will open where you can enter the person's name, specify whether they are a brother or sister, and select the days and times of availability.
How does the availability filter work?
The filter allows you to view only people available on specific days and times. Use the filter button at the top to open the panel, select the desired days and times, and the list will update automatically.
What are Notes and how do they work?
Notes is a feature that lets you create and manage personal notes for your ministry. You can create new notes, add a title, format text (bold, italic, underline, colors, and sizes), insert links and checklists, add cover images, organize notes with tags, and archive notes you no longer need.
How do I create a new note?
From the "Notes" section, tap the "+" button (FAB) at the bottom right. The editor will open where you can enter the title, content, and customize the note with tags, cover images, and formatting.
How do tags work in notes?
Tags let you organize notes by categories. You can create new tags from the sidebar (hamburger menu) or from the note editor. Tap a tag to filter and view only the associated notes.
Can I search through my notes?
Yes, the search bar at the top lets you quickly search through all your notes by title or content.
How does note archiving work?
You can archive a note from the editor by tapping the archive icon. Archived notes are hidden from the main view but can be found at any time from the sidebar panel in the "Archived" section. From there you can restore or permanently delete them.
How can I sort my notes?
Tap the "Sort" button at the top to choose the ordering: by creation date (newest or oldest first) or by last modified (newest or oldest first).
Can I add cover images to notes?
Yes, in the note editor you can add a cover image by tapping the "Add cover" button. You can remove the cover at any time with the dedicated button.
How do I delete a note?
Open the note in the editor and tap the trash icon. You will be asked for confirmation before permanent deletion.
